I liked that Mad Paws includes insurance/liability cover, because it definitely made me feel more comfortable booking a sitter for my dog. The information is there, but I did have to dig around a bit to figure out what’s actually covered and what isn’t. Luckily, I didn’t need to make a claim. Overall, I felt reassured using the service, but I would’ve felt even better if the policy details were clearer upfront

I don’t know what they’re putting into this thing, and part of me feels like they don’t want us asking too many questions, but honestly… it’s worth the money. I bought it expecting it to be overhyped, because that’s usually how they get you, but it actually delivered. Suspiciously good, if you ask me.

I was browsing through sitters and noticed some of the profiles felt empty. It’s hard to feel confident booking someone when there isn’t much detail about their experience or what they’re like. I also expected some kind of follow-up after reaching out, but I never heard anything back, which was frustrating.

I booked a sitter for my dog, and overall it was just okay. The sitter seemed nice enough, and thankfully nothing major went wrong, but the updates came later than I would’ve liked. When I picked my dog up, he seemed a little unsettled, which made me wonder how comfortable he really was. For the price, I was hoping for a bit more communication and care

I managed to find a sitter nearby quickly for a weekend away, which was a relief. There were actually a few options in my area, but some of the availability dates didn’t seem to be up to date, so I ended up having to message a few people to figure out who was really free. Not sure if anyone’s keeping an eye on that side of things. Still, booking was simple enough, and our dog came back happy, so overall it worked out.

I used Mad Paws for a weekend sitter and overall it was fine, but the pickup and drop-off side of things was more annoying than it needed to be.
The sitter seemed nice, but the timing wasn’t very clear, so I ended up messaging back and forth and waiting around longer than planned. Drop-off also changed at the last minute, which was stressful, and I really didn’t love that there wasn’t any actual human contact to quickly sort things out when plans got messy.
My dog seemed happy and well looked after, so I can’t complain about that part. I just wish the whole process felt a bit more organised and easier to deal with when logistics change.

Mad Paws has been really handy for me because my work hours change all the time. I was able to find sitters with flexible availability without a lot of back and forth, which made the whole experience feel smooth. It’s not perfect every single time, but overall it’s been easy and convenient to use.

I signed up on Mad Paws and found the identity check and background verification a bit confusing. I was expecting clearer step-by-step instructions, but the updates weren’t super clear and the whole thing took longer than I thought it would. Support did get back to me, which I appreciated, but I still felt stuck for a while trying to figure out what was happening.

"Seems trustworthy for now"
I checked out Mad Paws’ ratings and recent reviews before booking, and most of them actually felt genuine and detailed, not just a bunch of spammy five-star stuff. That gave me enough confidence to give them a try, and so far I haven’t noticed any weird red flags. That said, if things start feeling off, I’d have no problem looking elsewhere.

Just a quick warning for anyone dealing with a booking issue on Mad Paws: don’t sit there stressing like I did. Reach out to their support team. I had a problem with my booking and was frustrated, but they got back to me quickly and actually seemed to read what I wrote instead of sending some generic copy-paste response. They sorted it out without dragging me through a million back-and-forth messages, which I really appreciated. What could’ve been a huge headache ended up being painless. 5 stars from me.

"Good enough stay, but the house could’ve been cleaner"
Our pet seemed happy and the sitter was nice, so no major issues there. But when we got home, the kitchen bench still had crumbs on it, the bins hadn’t been taken out, and the floors looked like they hadn’t really been swept. It wasn’t awful or anything, just not quite as clean as we expected after someone had been staying in the house. I’d maybe use them again, but next time I’d be a bit clearer about the cleanup stuff.

I’m always a little nervous hiring someone new because you never really know if you’re being fooled by a good first impression, but this sitter was great. I came home and everything was exactly how I left it. They followed all the house rules, no issues at all, and I felt really relieved afterward.

Had the meet and greet today and yeah, it went good. The sitter was friendly, asked the usual kind of stuff, nothing weird or over the top, and my dog seemed calm around them. So overall I feel a lot better about going ahead with the booking now.

"A good fit for my dog"
I found a sitter who was actually a good match for my dog’s routine and energy. It took about a few messages back and forth before I felt totally sure, but in the end it worked out really well. I’d definitely use them again.
